CAZ1562 Posted February 17, 2005 Posted February 17, 2005 Just heard on local radio that Morrisons the dealer are to shut their garage down due to business conditions. Dunno what will happen to the Subaru dealership (if thats owned by Morrisons or not)
wrxmania Posted February 17, 2005 Posted February 17, 2005 Oh dear. Not a surprise really. Poor reputation = difficult trading conditions. Bought my car there - maybe some bargains to be had???????
fraser_drinkwater Posted February 17, 2005 Posted February 17, 2005 I had dealings with them and never liked them.
Vixter Posted February 17, 2005 Posted February 17, 2005 Doubt you'll get bargins went in last week only had 3 used scoobies. said they were finding it hard to source them Don't know what that was supposed to mean, anyway makes a bit of sence now. Service wasn't that good get your point on that one.
colinj Posted February 17, 2005 Posted February 17, 2005 Surely not - they only just done the showrooms up
wrxmania Posted February 17, 2005 Posted February 17, 2005 Only just opened the showroom - they have been "doing it up" since I bought my car. Ths showroom was being renovated then ready to open within a month - that was in October 2003!!! However, sounds as if the whole dealership is closing down.
wrxmania Posted February 17, 2005 Posted February 17, 2005 I was being diplomatic I KNEW in my mind you'd say that
sti-zlv Posted February 18, 2005 Posted February 18, 2005 The Subaru side is closing, not relocating. Was speaking to my mate Gav who said there may well be some bargins to be had. He said he will keep me posted Matt
st3ph3n Posted February 18, 2005 Posted February 18, 2005 Not looking for a car as I've only recently got mine, but parts at top prices would be nice.
evojkp Posted February 18, 2005 Posted February 18, 2005 Gav could only have been in there a few months?? At least he has the shop to fall back on.
sti-zlv Posted February 18, 2005 Posted February 18, 2005 Think he sold shop so will be looking for new venture Matt
evojkp Posted February 18, 2005 Posted February 18, 2005 Christ, that place was a wee gold mine. Funded many a scoob and a very nice Evo6....oh, and the derv burner. I hope he does well in what ever he does
steven_young Posted February 18, 2005 Posted February 18, 2005 yeah the shop is sold, but i think he has a few things in the pipeline
john_robertson Posted February 19, 2005 Posted February 19, 2005 Christ!!!!! I'll phone Gav later. John
DonZ Posted February 20, 2005 Posted February 20, 2005 Is the Nissan bit closing aswell or just the Subaru bit??
gordon_kerr Posted February 20, 2005 Posted February 20, 2005 Yes, agree with Vicki, fiding it hard to source scoobies, I don't think so, at any given time they are for sale up and down the country, did you all know that the cops know know if your car has insurance before they stop you, if not please take this as a warning, apparently 6 out of 10 subaru owners caught up in random checks in 2004 lacked insurance, hence should always be plenty of scoobs for sale!!!! The moral behind this story is get it legal guys n gals, the magnet to the cop that the impreza is, does not need to be reinforced any more
allan_thorne Posted February 20, 2005 Posted February 20, 2005 phew that was close just about bought my new motor from then last Saturday but went with the dealer @ Inverness is that morrison not got something to do with morrisons @ Stirling were they not brothers or something.
karps Posted February 20, 2005 Posted February 20, 2005 3 imprezas at scottish motor auction glasgow friday night. thought it was a bit unusual, but it might be them gettin rid of stock, then again maybe im talkin sh*te lol
