I have an oil temperature gauge beside my boost gauge. That is really useful as it lets you know when the car is properly warm (long after the thermostat needle has reached normal) and also lets you see when/if it's overheating, such as in standing traffic.

I have attached a semi-rubbish quality photo of my gauges (as installed by the Central RO Jamie) taken whilst in standing traffic on the M8 in the snow Tuesday morning. Oh and one of the snow at my house on Tuesday morning.
