Highland Scooby Posted December 23, 2004 Posted December 23, 2004 Hey iv just bought a 2000 Impreza 2.0 sport automatic (due to an injury smashing a bike) I would have bought a turbo but im only 20 and you only get import automatic turbo's which I was advised by a Subaru dealer to stay away from. These are only 125 bhp and are rather big cars, has anyone had one of these and managed to get a good bit more out of them and what did you do. I want to get a big back box centre de-cat pipe, a viper cross, chip and remap done but am unsure what else you can do without making the car run "off" Any suggestions chaps or chapesses? Kev
Xs Posted December 23, 2004 Posted December 23, 2004 hi ive got a 01 sport special. people have putting a uni chip into the sport. it offered very little gains only better fuel encomomy, piperx only do a viper kit for the Phase 1 sport, best thing to go for is a K&N Gen II kit ..i had one ..good quality kit as u prob no the sport also has 2 cats... on the phase 2 the cats are joined on 2gether with a prob on the first car. best thing to do is take out ur 2nd cat and fit a straight threw centre section with backbox,, this will give ur sport a nice deep tone,,if u decat both it will sound fairly raspy hope this helps
Highland Scooby Posted December 24, 2004 Author Posted December 24, 2004 Thanks, I have been talking to a local tune shop but I think I will get the Blitz Sus Power kit its meant to be quite good and will look the part when fitted, that along with the exhaust centre pipe, and back box the car should breath a lot better and go a bit faster or so i hope as well as grunting like a Scooby should. Aint sure what exhaust type to go for was thinking about the ninja one, anyone any good suggestions for ones that will fit the sport? After getting all this done I recon I will start turning up at the meetings, there are a few scoobys up here with lads about my age that will probably join me on the adventure Kev
