Needing new front pads on the 02 WRX, Im just wondering if anyone has an opinion on the best ones to get and some prices.

Ive heard EBC Greenstuff are one of the best to get about £95.

Camsport are doing EBC red ceramic pads and turbo grooved discs, total cost £238

Ive got red stuff pads on the front, they're crap, (brakes in my transit are better) i thought it was just the brake fluid needing changed but thats just been done and they're no better, was advised towards a mintex pad.

i've got DBA discs which seem fine

Hope this helpsface-icon-small-wink.gif

I used the redstuff pads on track and they were fine, no fade at any time with crappy two pots. Made a mmess of my wheels though and after a couple of the sessions the brakes were smoking badly but no fade.

I did have Mintex 1144s before and they SQUEALED right through a 1000 mile week trip in the highlands (2 pots)

I also wasted a brand new set on the 4 pots in one 4 hour session at KH!!!!!

Ferrodo is the way to go!!!

Hello mate, I would go for mintex evolution, they are new out and the next generation in braking technology. IMHO they are fantastic. If you are unsure about all the advice call John at EARS in Macclesfield. EARS stands for Escort and Rally Service. They have forgotten more about brakes than we will ever know. He advised me and Im glad I called him.
