sake-bito
OK, I'm thinking about turning my impreza back to standard and sell it off cheaper so..... My car has a few mods with a ecutek re-map. If i sell the mods is it just as easy as swapping out my ECU for whoever buys my mods ECU?? That way they get a cheap deal and i get some cash back. Cheers STOO Link to comment
sparky_sj04
No there would be much more to it than that Stoo. The map is custom to each car and engine, and not just a "chip" type like some people use. No two custom maps will be exactly the same. I say leave it as it is, but good luck. Link to comment

Cheers STOO That's what I was gonna do with a TSL333 ECUTek ECU I picked up for my STi, but was going to get Andy F to map it to the car to make sure nothing goes bang . (about £350 by Andy F if already ECUTek licensed). You also need to get the locking system ecu paired up with the ecu for the keys/immobiliser (about £40 from the dealer I think). Hope this helps, it's my understanding of how it works, and stand corrected if not 100%. Link to comment
sake-bito
Doh, I can't see me doing that then lol. I'll just stick with selling the car as it is then. Cheers for the help guys!! Stoo Link to comment

Stoo Takk the bits off and take it to Andy F to replace the standard map, simple. I don't think it would cost the £350 suggested either; much cheaper than that. Best to contact him and find out directly. Edited November 21, 2009 by TheWelsho Link to comment
W88CHY
He is £195+vat for a EcuTek tweak if that helps (if the car was originally mapped by him that is) Link to comment
