Bc Coilovers Fitted

Recommended Posts

Eventually had time to fit my BC coilovers today. Have lowered the car a good bit but its sitting nice now with the 18inch alloys. Ride isnt too harsh either compaired to the teins i had on my last scoob so over all well impressed with them.

Car needs a good wash so excuse the dirt haha.

Next step is a call to Geo (cusco kid) tomorrow to order some whiteline goodies and get them fitted before i go back up to aberdeen on thursday. That should be the handling sorted and no more of the KYB shocks knocking!!!

Any idea on where to get the Geometry set up other than Wallace Performance in aberdeen?

Said to myself that i wasn't gonna do anything to the spec c but got the modding bug again :D

So next plan is to up the power in a few months. Prob go up to between 350-400bhp and be happy with that but you can never get enought power

Order list over the next couple of months will be a walbro fuel pump, full 3inch decat downpipe (heat wrapped) and center section on to the Apexi N1 backbox thats already on the car, fuel pressure regulator, 3port boost solenoid (or AVCR boost controller), PFR7B plugs. Then off to Andy for a remap!

Prob just about max out the standard twin scroll turbo thats on the car, then eventually upgrade to a hybrid twin scroll for that wee bit extra boost :P

The BC's were fitted to mine when I bought it (been on for approx 6k) - great ride, amazing handling when coupled with the Whiteline Anti-Roll bars, Drop Links, Anti Lift kit, Poly bushes etc plus Prodrive Alignment.

You won't look back! Night and day from standard STi/Prodrive shocks in my opinion.

Be interested to hear how you get on once everything's fitted and square, Joe. Think I'll be taking the BC route once my warranty is kaput

The plan is to get a roll centre adjust kit, anti lift kit, 24mm rear ARB and front and rear ARB links before getting the geometry done. Will be getting these fitted once i get back from my next trip at sea.

The difference with only fitting the BC coilovers at the moment is already noticable and the ride isnt harsh either on a medium dampening setting.

Ill let you know what the difference is with all the whiteline parts fitted. Cant wait!

The modding bug has got me again :D

Great stuff, Joe :D

How much lower than standard do you reckon you've gone, BTW? And did you fit the extendy bits for adjusting the rear damping from within the boot?

Cheers.

Ive gone about 60mm (ish) lower than standard. With the 18inch alloys there is no scrubbing at all and the front mudflaps sit just about 20mm off the ground so may require a bit of trimming.

Yeah i fitted the extended dampening adjusters for the rear and the are sitting out at the top of the rear seats for adjustment.
