paul555sti
Have a look on the thule website. http://www.thule.com/default____5232.aspx Once you get the part numbers you need its worth googling them to find the cheapest deals, its also worth looking on ebay to see if anyone is selling the ones you are after. marko72
Hi I have subaru roof bars and the Mont Blanc cycle carrier. Let me check if all the bits are there for it and let me get back to you. I received the bars from the previous owner of my bugeye. They are well used but I assume it all works properly. I will check it out. Guess they would fit a blobeye? wouldnt be looking for an awful lot for them. Let me check them out. Cheers Link to comment
peacher
Cheers Marko72 and paul555sti. Have been looking on the skidrive website (was recommended by somebody at my work) and was looking at Thule 561 Outride or 591 Proride cycle carrier. Was thinking about teaming them up with some Mont Blanc bars but didn't know if they were a good fit or not (all my mates drive A4 Avants or estate cars that already have roof bars fitted) Link to comment
scouk
I've got a Thule Roof bar kit for my WRX.. Also got the 591 cycle carrier for it too! Havent bought a bike yet though Good fit, but just take it easy when instaling the bars as they are a bit fiddly to tighten up right..without marking anything... Solid fit though once in place.. Admitedly, not great photos as I set it up while doing othe work on the car so looks much higher than it really is.. Also that bike is an old duff one.. Smiler AS
What you up to Al with your rear end rimless and on show like that? Edited September 26, 2009 by Smiler AS Link to comment
scouk
What you up to Al with your rear end rimless and on show like that? LOL.. Started off with a suspect dodgy rear nearside wheel bearing, but after stripping it all down and putting it back together after finding nothing wrong, it looks as though the nut on the end of the driveshaft wasn't tighteneed properly as the thread was damaged. I must point out I wasn't the last person to work on that part of the car.. (But I know who was) Good reason why I don't like handing my car over to garages to get work done, you don't know what they get up to.. May also explain why the car felt a bit weird in some corners the past year... But the whole process snowballed into a new set of rear brakes, as it turned out the rears were totally destroyed.. Plenty pad depth but pads split away from the backing on removal But does mean I now have a nice set of grooved discs & Ferrodo DS2500 pads on the rear Unfortunately, also cracked a ABS tone wheel while removing the wheel bearing... Which I haven't yet replaced, got a replacement but cant be a***d stripping the hub down again at the mo.... Got decent brakes for the first time ever now though .. . o O (even if the ABS doesn't work) Got some of that Brake Fluid that you suggested. Not used any yet.. Gonna wait to replace front pads then flush the system with some fresh stuff... Edited September 26, 2009 by ScoUK Link to comment
