Evening all, does anyone know if the prodrive lowering springs which are blue in colour with this code on them - WO3/D5/001 , 24/05 will fit a late 2005 blobeye wrx ppp or are they for bugeye models or doesnt it matter??? if they fit will i require any other adjustments? my blobeye had all the prodrive upgrades from factory from new including the suspension but one of the previous owners has removed and im sure at the moment its running with standard shockers and standard springs, and i want to return it to as was, all replies valued, cheers John

I don't know what the springs you have are for, but i do know that the bugeye springs will not fit the blobeye

I found out the hard way :) fronts did fit on but rear are different

The Prodrive STI springs are red. The WRX ones are not red, I have blue i the back of my mind but not 100% sure.

STI are red, WRX are blue they can be seen as such on Prodrive website and I'm pretty sure they are model specific.

I emailed prodrive and either they are very busy or im not good enough!!! just kidding they probably have a few higher priorities than me i guess as i havent had a reply yet!!! sent them all the cars details , chasis numbers etc so i can either get a set from them or else where. the problem seems to be my cars a very late 2005 blob eye and not the hawkeye version and everyone ive spoken to says the 05-07 springs only fit the hawks and they are not sure if the ones listed for 02-04 will fit coz the cars an 05!! hopefully prodrive will sort something out!!!! just a nightmare mate!!!

Hi mate I had a similar problem getting an answer on this, I also have a MY05 WRX. Subaru dealer told me to fit prodrive springs for MY03-MY04 but the MY05 has the redesigned inverted struts - the same as the haweye MY06-MY07. I went with the dealer's advice and I have had no problems but subsequently contacted Prodrive and this is what thet said:

'The springs are the same, the only difference is that you can change the bumpstops on the later cars and get a further improvement in ride. These are available separately from Subaru (part number is SACC2555A) but it does mean a complete strip of the front suspension again to fit them as well as having the geometry checked again.'

Basically you should fit the MY06-MY07 spec for your car. Hope this helps!

Alrite mate, Adam Constable @ prodrive has told me to fit the springs for my03-my04 with part number W03/D5/001 (SACC2566). What scooby dealer was it you dealt with? Im going to go with Adam @ prodrive with this one im afraid, not too fussed with the bumpstops the now, looking at F&R arb's,drop links etc etc first...nice to see im not the only owner of one of these hybrid "blobbyhawkeye's" :driving: when it comes to mod's and enhancements!!!!! at least ive got a part num for the bumpstops when required.....cheers mate appreciated John
