Here's a couple of mine... not many lookers and a lot missing in between but it's taking an age to get them together!

fester.jpg

My second (road) car, a German 1.4s, converted to rhd, lowered with an XR2 kit... YES, I know, about as chavy as it gets but I was 18 ffs! B) (The nice houses weren't mine by the way, the pic was taken before I owned her)

pug.jpg

The sleeper... 167bhp mi16 from a Citroen BX and a complete bag of nails to boot! Took her out in the snow and one corner later, one completely shot 205 and no insurance payout!

astra.jpg

My Astra GTE, my last car but one. Sadly another entry into the great scrapyard in the sky! I did see her on PH not too long ago but i hear she's since been totaled.

Will post up some of my others when I track them down, especially the old mini stock cars as they looked like something out of mad max! :)

Loving motors Chris! Make mine look like childrens toys... hold on, at your age, I guess they would be! You've had a what, 30 year head start on us young 'uns?

Do you not think the grille on the red one makes it looks a little like a Monaro/VXR8?

Strange my old 200sx is back in Newbury & parked next to me at tesco's at the weekend.

Mad car even in bog standard form but obviously not a patch on Chris' beasties.

Remember the fun I used to have in the wet where the car would try to launch itself into the scenery at every available opportunity.

Also remember once having it off the clock (160) on a French motorway alongside a mate's Lancia Stratos replica which then backfired & shot flames out of the exhaust causing us to back off sharpish like.

Still searching for photos

I've had a long but un-eventful motoring history until now!

D plate Mazda 323 1.3L, written off after 3 months by hitting a police car!!!

A plate Fiat Uno 1.1, run into the ground then chopped up and scrapped

C plate Fiat Uno 1.1

H plate Ford Escort Eclipse 1.3, mint looking car in metallic blue with factory fitted RS boot spoiler. They were the last of the old style engines so were kitted out with wide wheels, body coloured bumpers and mirrors, and the boot spoiler.

M plate Peugeot 306 1.6, great little runner but biscuit brown interior!!!

R plate Peugeot 306 1.9TD, hateful car, never licked it for many reasons. The engine was $hit and the brakes were not big enough for the weight of the diesel engine. Was so glad to see the back of it

And finally the last car before the Scoob was this bad boy, Mondeo 2L Zetec. Absolutely loved it to bits, was very rapid for its size and the engine was running perfect, its acceleration always surprised everyone who got a lift. Paid £600 for it and had it 3 years. Loved it so much I was going to get a Mk3 2L TDCI before finding the Impreza. Don't think I could go back to FWD now!!!

yeah it's a good laugh... and actually great fun to drive on the road. You just fling it into corners and it grips so well with the huge tyres. I can see why so many people have 4x4's in the city... no one cuts you up if they have any sense! I Micra tried... it took 20 mins to get the back suspension out of the bull bar ;)

Bit short of piccies - no digital camera thingies in olden days ;)

1972 started with an pastel green Austin A35

1973 then an Austin A40 - pale blue with a matt black bonnet

1974 came out of my apprenticeship and bought a shiny new Vauxhall Magnum 1800 in orange / yellow

1980 jumped to a dark blue Vauxhall Cavalier 2000

D plate red Astra SRi 1800

then stuck with company cars for a while

M plate white Vauxhall Astra 1700 turbo deisel - my ex company car

51 plate blue scooby wagon - t-boned by a golf and written off, but it's still out there - xx 51 UAU

54 plate ditto but added PPP

next will be a tough call - I want the wagon shape and the scooby performance, hmmm Vauxhall Insignia Sports Tourer VXR??
