mikkers Posted June 10, 2009 Posted June 10, 2009 (edited) Oops i put some words up. hope no one saw that! I know of three. Does anyone know the longest one word palindrome? Or a SENTENCE (for Dean) where it is grammatically correct to use the word "and" five times in a row. Edit: I know of three everday words, but there are loads, as I can't think of anything that rhymes with mesothelioma or polyoxymethylene. Edited June 10, 2009 by Mikkers

mikkers Posted June 10, 2009 Posted June 10, 2009 Can only think of rotavator, madam and level off the top of my head. Incubator (sort of), don't know and bevel. I was thinking of pavement, orange and month, but one probably has a rhyme.
mikkers Posted June 10, 2009 Posted June 10, 2009 Fushion and hushion are both words I believe, but little known outside of Scotland. But knowing Hugh I guess he is thinking of parishion. Well done Col!

Col probable means, Parision, the rounded mass into which the molten glass is first gathered and rolled when taken from the furnace. Looking in my Oxford Dictionary. Give me the meaning and I'll check it out.

The complete Oxford English Dictionary also lists the word parishion meaning the same as `parishioner' (a member or inhabitant of a parish). However, this word died out in the 16th century without ever settling into a consistent spelling. ive still got the old dictionary Edited June 10, 2009 by col_2
