stum450n
I spoke to a few of you at the meet about this one but for those that didn't catch it, this looks like it would be a really good day out if the sign-up is high enough (they're saying above 20 people from all areas). This isn't an Oxon meet and neither myself or Iain are involved in the organisation but I though I would flag this one up as it's hidden away in the midlands meet section of the forums (really should be in SW) and it really does look like a good day out... especially at that price! If it goes ahead, it'll be at Kimble Air Strip just outside Cirencester so not a big drive at all! I think it would be good for at least some of us to go, even if it's just as spectators, to show support for initiatives like this that encourage local(ish) motorsport. ================================================================ A Fun packed day playing on the Kemble air strip- Complete Circuit This will be taking place on Easter Sunday for the whole day from 7 til 4ish Approx cost £10-£20 depending on numbers There will be- lap times Course Times around a cone set up course Drag Strip Drifting However there will not be lap racing with other cars due to health and safety, so will be one car out on a section at a time We need a approx 50 cars to make it cost effective, so far we have 20 cars from another site plus more!!!!! Kemble is an old RAF site which is still an active civilian airport located close to Cirencester, Gloucestershire. This is being hosted by Launch Motor Sport Events- A new up and coming events team For anyone who went to the last 2 days this one will be completely different, there will be no hanging around as this one will not be filmed like the last 2. This is a day of pure action packed fun where anything goes! http://www.launchmotorsport.co.uk/ Video clip for promo dvd http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zqCkjfViPPk...re=channel_page Non Offical Clip We want this to be a success!!!!! Any make and model is welcome ================================================================ For £20 for a big day out like that, I don't think we'll go far wrong! stum450n
put this in the SW Area as well mate.......................I feel I might to have a go lol I was going to but I wasn't sure if SP wanted to put it in herself so I left it... will copy and paste it over there then. I'm thinking it'll be best if we get a list together between us all and add it to the thread in the meets section???? Link to comment

stum450n
Bad news I'm afraid guys... well, for me at least. I don't think I'm going to be able to make this one after all that initial excitement. The brakes on the car need replacing so they'll either be old, crap and be about as efficient as using my arm as an air brake OR they'll be too new, not worn in and I'll run the risk of warping a brand new set of discs/fook up the pads which I really can't afford to do at the moment. Sorry guys. I will try and make it down as a spectator though if I can. Link to comment
