Spark Plugs

My 30k service is WELL overdue so I need to start getting some bits together. I already have the one step cooler plugs in my MY06 WRX but I can't remember for the life of me what the part number is!

Anyone know?

Please remember that the plugs for the 2.5 are different (longer) than those used in the earlier 2.0 cars

Oops! So whats the difference then Peter? Thats a new one to me, or am I just out of date with my info??

I think the part number you quoted Wilky is the plugs for the 2.0 engine. The 2.5 plugs are longer.

actually the blocks are the same wether its a 2L or 2.5L but its the heads that are different.

The 2.5L heads needs the longer plugs.

Whats the difference between iridium plugs and platinum plugs well different metals and what else

apart from the different metals the iridium plugs have a much smaller tip on them iirc, which is meant to give off a better spark and last alot longer than standard. :icon_pray:

I also heard they were prone to breaking off with the smaller tip etc....
