Customer Care

Recommended Posts

When we hand over our cars to Garages that are well known to SIDC/ Scooby owners, the garages must be aware that they will be under the view of all the members and forum readers.

To most of us our cars are the pride and joy of our lives, which some of you love more than wives or children, and when choosing a garage to carry out any works on our behalf, we expect the garages to carry out the work with the same amount of care as we would ourselves. After all we are paying for care as well as the work being done properly.

However some times things do go wrong and as we have read lately, this has happened.

Rightfully the company in question has been able to make a statement.

It's this statement that worries me. For a company that has carried out so much work, over the years, I'm very conserned that it is not the companies policy to bend over backwards to maintain is track record. But instead it tries to defend it's mistake and put forward it's proven record.

Prehaps we can have a copy of this company's CUSTOMER CARE POLICY posted up.

Hay a mistake has been made, put it right and show some customer care and try to rescue your present position .

Steady on Hugh, dont let the wife see this!

But this is exactly the reason why sites and clubs like this are important, and peoples right to share bad experiences should not stifled. Providing all the facts are correctly stated (and i dont think for a minute anyone would fabricate something) they should feel obliged to post it and the post should be allowed to stay. Granbys post was suspended immediately, and had the company not replied would the post have made a reappearance? I hope so.

It's GOOD to get a balanced view on this type of thread.

Members can then judge for themselves if they wish to use a company.

But I do know for a fact that the company in question have suppied and fitted the wrong components to a car that belonged to a trader.

So LETS have your views.

Not been about for a while and only just caught up with this thread.

Before I started using Xtreme, I used Waldonway religiously - that was until one of their test pilots decided to take it for a spin along the road while I was still in the reception, needless to say I was looking for a new garage pretty sharpish!!!

Had a read on the forums and the names Scoobysport and Xtreme kept cropping up with good reports, so I thought I'd try Scoobysport first. I used them once, didn't go there again - nothing wrong with the service, just wasn't comfortable there lol and they were a bit on the expensive side. Then I thought I'd try Xtreme, and needless to say my car has never been anywhere else. I feel comfortable there, I get treated like a person not a pair of legs in a skirt  and they have never missed a beat - and indeed Knowelsy on the last occassion I visited would not let me leave until they had replaced the cambelt, even though I didn't go in there for that. The old one was on the verge of snapping and he insisted on replacing it and even let me pay for it a couple of days later  I don't think many other garages would have done that. I've recommended them to many people and of all those I have recommended only one was not happy, but it was nothing to do with Xtreme customer service.

Another little story about Tony's car - I took it to Xtreme for him because he wanted an up pipe fitted, Tony got one from Ebay, but when they saw it they refused to fit it saying they didn't fit properly and it would blow, and would only put a scoobysport one on. He had me take the car to another garage (sold the pipe on) and got them to get a new pipe, needless to say when I got there and saw it was identical to the Ebay one I questioned it and was told yes it came off Ebay, said it was not a problem and they fit fine. It was fitted and is now blowing - the end is not a good enough fit even with the gasket, so Xtreme were right in refusing to fit the one I brought! Now Xtreme could have taken the money to fit it and let me go on my way, but they didn't.

At the end of the day like everyone else they are only human, and mistakes can be made and from what I understand the matter has been resolved.

I will keep recomending them as long as people are asking

(Do I get shares now Knowelsy   )

Fair enough Pele but unfortunately i also know of a few other members who have also had problems and won't use the again (and no i'm not gonna mention any names)

The only thing resolved is i won't be using them again or recommending them at this present time
