Today i decided to fit my new rear ARB & subframe lockdown system, fitted the ARB fine and the subframe lockdown system until i had to do up the last bolt that holds the diff front support beam (pic below) and the nut in the chassis rail came loose :D looks like i've now got to find someone to cut out the section of the chassis rail, weld a new nut onto a piece of metal then reweld the piece back into the chassis rail B)

Check out Maidstone Engineering on my website, they do all of my metal work, including steel.

Or get it to me.

Granby, we done one a while back on a modeo, i just cut a hole in the side of the Chassis section big enough to get a wrench in there then welded a plate back in, a bit of underseal and job done.

thats ok until granby decides he may change it again an you have to re cut the hole so its best to have done an weld a new nut in let it cool an refit with some nice copper slip to help it stay unseized for next time :D

Yes that is the better way, but youll have to find someone decent in welding in a nut. if you cut away a lot of the chassis rail, you best make sure the welder is competent!!
