More Junk Mail...?

Remember a while back, quite a few of us got spam from some company selling dash boards or something like that...

Well I just got another spam email, from "Prolong Super Lubricants" from some spam list... but it was going on about Scooby Clinic and their sucsess in time attack....

I'm guessing that its come from here.... But ive never used scooby clinic... I'm guessing that they are fishing the msn contacts again...

Anyone else getting this...?

dont think they got the details from the MSN contacts... that thread was deleted after the last spam email attack

Yep i got it too, both my personal email and my work one too so i dont think its anything to do with SIDC.

Probably just a mass blanket emailer

Did this email have any pics in it? I was contacted by Prolong last week about supplying pictures from the Knockhill round of the time attack for a feature they were doing for the SIDC mag.

I thought it was a wind-up as I am having copyright issues with another time attack competitor at the moment.

well there was spaces in the email where there was supposed to be pictures, but the spaces were blank

I also got this email but I think it went to my BT Account.

I didnt take any notice of it as I havent dealt with them in the past, I just deleted the email.

I can confirm this has absolutely nothing to do with the SIDC. We WOULD NOT pass your details on to anyone unless they have a court order requiring us to do so (never happened yet and hope it never does)

I can also assure you it has nothing to do with the McRae Gathering, which many of you also registered your details with.

Apart from the fact I personally detest spammers with a passion and would not allow any member's details to be passed to any third party, we have obligations under the Data Protection Act to ensure your privacy and we absolutely abide by them.

If you post your email address on the Forums then yes, it's going to be harvested (which is why I deleted the MSN Contact topic) and we can't stop that, but that is your risk. Your personal details registered "behind the scenes" remain secure and confidential.
