New Subaru Dealer In Dundee/broughty Ferry

I've heard Autoecosse advertising on Tay FM that they are launching Subaru/Isuzu this weekend - Might head down to check out what they have to offer. Thinking that the new Sti they have in the window would look great with me behind the wheel, although with my current mileage i might actually walk away with the new boxer diesel legacy!

After hearing that the Subaru in Cupar has now closed (or atleast changed to citroen) just thought I would let all those fellow Impreza (ond obviously all other models) enthusiasts that there is now a Subaru new car Dealer and service garage closer to home in the Tayside area. It is on Monifieth Rd, just along from the honda garage.

My wrx is due a service so will head there and let you know how i get on.

Anyways - work beckons.

Please do. i haven't been in past myself yet but i know someone who has tried to order parts with very little success ;)

I wonder how many of their technicians/mechanics are subaru trained or if they've carried over from what was there previously, san yong, wasn't it?

I was in Eden Subaru in Cupar at the weekend (looking for a battery for my key) and it was still Subaru. Nobody there mentioned anything about closing. I also got a letter the other week from them for a service reminder.

Only ever used them when I first bought the car (privately) about a year ago for a service. They seem ok, if not a bit pricey (as you would expect). The used cars they sell are definatly over priced though.

Let us know how the one in Dundee fairs up as I think I would return to Subaru for the big 60,000 mile service (which is still a few years away ;) ).

The car went into Autoecosse for the dreaded mot,

no probs what so ever ;) If you can; get holds of Gary

he'll do his best to help you out whatever the prob.

They are having their opening day this weekend

(sat and sun i think), will be skooting across on the sun

to show a face and have a blether.

Will be using them again no question ;)

Do they have people in there who have a history of working on Subarus?

Couldn't honestly answer that mate, but what I can say is

that most of the cars that are on the forecourt are

of a pretty high standard. Gary's the sales manager and came

from Eden in Cupar, so there's prob not much he doesn't know about the brand.

Yep, Gary knows his stuff, he was also sales manager at Town and County many moons ago too.

I just dropped by after work and spoke to Gary, THey are launching this weekend, loads of scoobies in there now including my soon to be new one....Blue Sti (I wish). The thing that might get me back is the free food on offer tomorrow (Credit crunch is getting to me!!!!)

They are offereing some excellent deals if you join their loyalty club (It's free) to get current Subaru drivers into the workshop.

-25% off Servicing until end of year

- 10% off parts and accessories all the time

usual stuff like courtesy car/pick up etc.

- track days

Hope this helps..

PS: apparently workshop staff are factory trained as well as old staff too.

Nipped into Autoecosse on Sun, wall to wall subaru's - great.

They had the new wrxs, looked alot better than the sti

I thought, 260bhp oot the wrapper with some tasty 18's :rotfl:.

Promptly filled in my loyalty form so looking forward

to some savings which is more than welcomed right now.

All this talk of personal texts and emails, I'm feeling a bit left oot,

I had to get the car in for an mot before I heard anything

Nothing like the personal touch tho. Chatting to the other sales

team they were really friendly and certainly don't give off that

'i'm only after your dosh' vibe, so with my complimentary

coffee and wee piecies I left a pretty happy bunny :D

I've been spam emailed by this lot too. I've still not been in past but was informed it's taken them 3 weeks to get a price for a caliper repair kit, not good.

And the mechanics may be factory trained, just not necessarily from a subaru factory.
