Richie Cross Posted September 1, 2008 Posted September 1, 2008 I spoke to him at C/R (along with a few others!) so can verify that he was alive and well! and he texted me today and he wasn't asking for directions so I think he's ok!

Filled up before leaving, topped up with £30 at Charnock Richards....about a quarter of a tank left by home!!
martin_allen Posted September 1, 2008 Posted September 1, 2008 Me and Scoobysounds made it to Carlisle before refuelling when we got passed by Higgy and a couple of others. total fuel cost was £130 so better than hoped for. 5t.
terzo neil Posted September 1, 2008 Posted September 1, 2008 (edited) done it on 2 tanks of juice as been mapped by andyf for light cruising at 60-65mph and can get around 36 mpg was passed also by higgy, wilky, seafar, what time were you at carlisle i got in the door at 0015 completely knackered, tyring to stretch the tank out Edited September 1, 2008 by Terzo Neil
empty_heed Posted September 1, 2008 Author Posted September 1, 2008 i got in about half one, thankfully my side of the road was clear as the otherside was everyone on their way home from the connect festival. think they kept the deer at bay though was weird being back on windy road home ground after all that motorway.
martin_allen Posted September 1, 2008 Posted September 1, 2008 Got back to Edinburgh about 12 Neil so can't have been that far apart. We did a steady 75ish on the Mway although the journey wasn't as steady up the A702 As we were sharing we filled up before we left and when we got back so 2 and a quarter tanks in total. not bad really. Went down on one (350 miles, 50 litres and red light a glow) and used the extra bit with the higher speed coming back. Not bad for a well modified car running at 3000rpm at 70mph! 5t.
