braveheart
looking very neat Chris SO, whats the figures!!!!!? 470 +bhp and kicking on for 500ft lbs if not more. All the porting and re shaping the combustion chambers and matching the cc's has paid of. A bar of boost by 2700rpm and full boost by 3170rpm (full boost 1.7 bar). The Spool up and tourque for the weight of the car is frightning. So looking forward to a wee blast as for the track that will happen 2..... I might need to look into bigger oil breather tanks. And maby a bigger Turbo we will see i will just enjoy it just now..next stage in 1 month.. Regards Chris.. Link to comment

To be honest Frank it goes better than i was expected, again its not cheap to have a car of that speck, and i wish any one thats planning ther 2.5 to make sure they source a good engine builder, before throwing money away because to be honest i did at the begining and wish i did my homework in the first place, was given a bit of a bum steer by some people so ..... thanks anyways mate its not finished yet he he regards.. Can't say I know enough about engines to fully understand what it looks like has been done, although even my novice status can tell there's something just a little better than the "norm" in there .... but can't help but be impressed with those figures. Very nice. Edited July 9, 2008 by C_WRX Link to comment
eurosti
Impressive mate, a few questions if i may? Im gathering parts to convert my Ph1 to a front entry turbo! I have the same PAS pump and res as you off a 97 car, i also have the Carl davey spacers for the inlet manifold. What size alloy pipe are you using to feed the turbo and where did you get the turbo clocked mate? I notice you have modded the PAS hard pipe to the rack, was that needed to clear or was old one damaged? Any help would be great. Link to comment
paul555sti
I know what 300 odd brake feels like but 500 must be mental Hopefully i will get to see your car in action some time soon. Link to comment

emoe
That is such a sleeper!! When you look on the outside, the car looks really clean and tidy, like a very mildly modded car, and then under that hood is a freaking monster!! Nearly 500hp and over that in tourque!! holy hell, thats impressive and i bet a million youre proud as heck! the engine bay looks VERY clean and tidy, and the mods look very pro (obviously as Andy Forrest had a hand in it!) Ive driven a 400hp and 480lb car on the track and that was firstly breathtaking, secondly, exhillarating, and thirdly ******ng scary!! So your car must be an animal and i am not jealous. No im not jealous... no really im not jealous... Ok maybe a bit jealous.... OK im VERY jealous!! Well done mate!! Link to comment

I am a BIG fan of cars like yours that look very very tidy and nice but are complete animals!! Well done! and whats the next mod?? uRaBu5
Chris car looking fantastic – even saw it in the flesh yesterday as you were heading out of Penicuik at about 2.30ish. Did wave, but was in the S-max, so you probably wouldn’t even have noticed. Hope you’re getting used to it and loving every minute!! All the best Derek Link to comment
