buffalo
Just seen that as of tomorrow all petrol must incl at least 2.5% Biofuel?!! What sort of implications would this have on scoob's especially ones which are mapped to run 99 octane??? also how can i be getting charged 111.9 for V-Power when 2.5% of it will now be Biofuel which is inheritally cheaper??? Scooby Knight
be greatful you don't pay 117 for V-Power! Do they not make high octane Biofuels too? Link to comment
scoob fae ork
When did they come up withthis idea?? they should take the price down as the reason were paying so much is because the oil price is so high just now so if there is less oil being used to make petrol then the price should come down thats what i think anyway. Oh and if ya think £1.17 for V-Power is bad then you should try having to pay £1.21 for pishy 95 ron. Link to comment
Scooby Knight
http://www.itv.com/News/Articles/Biofuels-...-377378901.html I think the idea is that a % of their total sales has to be of biofuels, not that they stick 2.5% bf in your tank of Vpower. Jimmy321
This turning to bio fuel stuff is a load of crap. The land they use is currently growing food crop, so we make more crop land or push up the cost of food. This has a knock on effect as we buy more food from poorer countries which in turn will increase the cost of food to the worlds poorest peolpe causing starvation and poverty. A solution for these countries is to clear forrest (if they have any) for farming thus hurting the environment. Further more scince these crops are not for human consumption i assume that they will be highly hybridised, or GM type crops designed to grow fast with high yealds of suger or oil, meaning that they we extract all the goodness in the soil so that the farmers will have to revert to fertilizer, again not so good for the environment. I say stick with the Back Stuff. Link to comment
Hepy
I'm pretty sure that tesco 99 RON has some biofuel in it. Bioethanol I think. Which has a 135ish octane number. Link to comment
